I don’t know about the rest of you, but to me this winter seemed to last forever. The cold, the snow, the shoveling….yes I know we live in Calgary, but still.

Well enough winter talk. Spring is just around the corner, and pretty soon all this snow will have melted, our lawns will turn green and flowers will bloom. It’s also the perfect time for cleaning up our houses, yards and getting rid of the clutter that seems to accumulate over the winter.

On Saturday, June 25th., 2011, Ward 5 residents (which includes Coral Springs) will have the opportunity to partner with the City of Calgary, and eliminate “all that junk.”

The City of Calgary Waste & Recycling Services will be at the Don Hartman Northeast Sportsplex to collect waste materials from residents at no charge. There will also be a BBQ, so come on out, bring your junk and hang out. To find out more about the cleanup, click here.

Volunteers are needed for this event, so if you can spare a couple hours, please contact Rofina Groebmair (CSCA President) at 403-650-6068.
