On September 11th. 2010, the Coral Springs Community Association (CSCA) held their annual Fall Festival. This fun event, showcased the grand re-opening of the playground in the large park on the boulevard, and was a huge success.
Even though the weather was a bit on the cool side (it was September after all), over 300 people turned up to enjoy the afternoon’s festivities. The free cake, chips, water and juice were an added bonus, and the kids got an extra treat playing on the bouncers…even some adults sneaked on when they thought no one was looking (aren’t we all just kids at heart).
Calgary EMS and the Calgary Fire Department were there to give the kids an up close and personal look at the inside of an ambulance and fire truck. Some brave ones even got to feel what it was like to be handcuffed and in the back of a Calgary Police blue and white.
We hope you appreciate the efforts of the CSCA and our many partners and donors, who came together and made the replacement of the playground equipment (even that of the small park at the north end of the boulevard) a reality. We really do owe them our heartfelt thanks.
